Rental Listings on the Map, With WiFi Tested at the Property

For stays of a few weeks to a few months, where a good connection decides the place.

Long stays are different from hotel nights. You want a monthly price, a flexible duration and proof the internet works. BorderBudget lets owners and managers post a rental listing straight onto the map, and every listing carries a WiFi speed measured at the property by the person who posted it.

What a listing shows

Posting a listing

  1. Open the map and the rental layer, and choose Post a Listing. It is for the owner or manager of the property.
  2. Fill in the title, description, price, duration, dates, amenities and your contact, and add photos.
  3. Run the WiFi speed test while you're at the property. A listing needs a measured speed before it can be posted.
  4. Post it. The listing appears as a pin on the map for other travelers.

What BorderBudget does not do

BorderBudget is not a booking site. It doesn't take payments, hold deposits or check that a listing is genuine. Listings are written by the people who post them. Confirm a place is real before you send money, be careful with anyone who wants payment first, and agree the terms with the owner directly.

Frequently asked questions

Who can post a listing?

Listings are for the owner or manager of a property: someone subletting their own place, or managing it as a rental business. You choose which one when you post.

What goes into a listing?

A title, description, price and currency, how long it is available, availability dates, amenities, up to five photos, and your contact by WhatsApp or email. You also run a WiFi speed test at the property before posting, so the listing shows a measured speed.

Does BorderBudget handle bookings or payments?

No. BorderBudget shows the listing and how to contact the owner. Any agreement and any payment happen directly between you and the owner, outside the app.

Does BorderBudget verify listings?

No. Listings are written by the people who post them and have not been verified. Check a place carefully before you pay anything, and be wary of anyone asking for money before you can confirm the place exists.

Is the WiFi speed on a listing reliable?

It is the speed the poster measured with the in-app test when they listed the place. Speeds vary by time of day and how many people are connected, so ask the owner if reliable internet matters for your work.
